Life & Style: Ron, it’s great to see you again. I always enjoy seeing your travel photos online. I took your advice for my trip to Jamaica this summer and the whole family had a blast. I see you’ve been down in Mexico recently. Tell us a little bit about what you were doing.

Yes, that’s right. I was in Mexico—the Riviera Maya to be exact. I know what you’re thinking. That place is only good for getting a tan and seeing a few ruins. There’s nothing else to do there. Well, you would be wrong.
I found an activity that is worth travelling from anywhere in the world to do. It’s not going to Holbox or Chichen Itza. Even if you live in the middle of the Alaskan bush and it takes you 37 hours to get down here, it is worth the trip.
Life & Style: That’s high praise from you, Ron. What did you find?
Paradise. Paradise for car lovers. There’s a service called Sun and Speed located in the Riviera Maya has an incredible fleet of cars.
I had the pleasure of driving a 60th Anniversary Lamborghini Huracán Técnica. It’s a true work of art, a true sensorial experience.
I have driven plenty of Lamborghinis over the years. This car, without a doubt, this is the best car they have ever produced. The roar of the engine. The absolute power of the car.
This 60th Anniversary Lamborghini Huracán Tecníca is in a unique matte black finish.
I put it in Sport mode, put my foot down, and it was so much adreneline. I entered into a state of bliss. I felt a oneness with the universe, a special wholeness. I can’t even begin to imagine what Corsa would feel like.
It must have something to do with the location—the Riviera Maya. It’s a very, very special place.
Life & Style: I have never heard anyone describe driving a car like that. That sounds like an incredible experience.
Even if you’ve never driven an exotic car like this before, you absolutely need to try this. You’ll never look at driving the same way again.
Life & Style: From looking at your photos here, I see there is a second car that you also seemed to enjoy quite a bit. What was that?
That would be the McLaren Artura–another fine machine. It’s a brilliant alternative to the Técnica. It provides a sophisticated, refined driving experience.
The McLaren Artura is one of the cars you can drive in the Riviera Maya.
For me, it felt like I witnessed the pinnicale of human technological advancement. McLaren really thought of everything a man could want in a car and then some.
The Artura is, forgive me if this sounds cliché, poetry in motion. There’s no other way to describe it. It is the perfect counterpart to the absolute raw power of the Técnica.
Life & Style: Ron, there’s something I’ve noticed on your social media. I see here that your posts are dated the same day and you seem to be wearing the same clothes. Forgive me if this sounds like a silly question, but, were you able to drive these cars on the same day?
That’s right. I had the privilege of driving both on the same day. Without a doubt, it was the best day of vacationing I have ever had.
Life & Style: That must have cost a fortune. Two exotic rentals on one day.

It is affordable for almost anyone who is able to take a vacation in the Riviera Maya. I’m no financial planner but if you cannot afford it, you probably should not be on vacation at all.
You see, Sun and Speed, offers hourly rentals in addition to the daily rentals. If you elect to go the hourly route, there is a predetermined route that they have developed to maximize the experience. You even go past the mystical Mayan ruins and see the beautiful Caribbean Sea almost the entire time.
It is an incredible value for money.
Life & Style: Wow! They’re really making the billionaire lifestyle available for everyone. That’s absolutely amazing. Do they do daily rentals, too?
Yes, they do daily rentals, too. I almost rented a car for the day but when they presented the hourly option to me, I took it. That’s a good option for people who are looking for a more intimate driving experience who really want to feel the car.
I will probably do a daily rental the next time I go to Cancun so I can have more time with the car. I need to drive both of those cars again.
Life & Style: This is something that I have to try next time that I am in Mexico. I’ve actually just messaged my wife to tell her that we need to go to Cancún next month. How do we go about making a booking?
Well, there’s a form that you can fill out and submit on the offical website.
After submitting the form, they will call you back in under 24 hours to schedule you rental. They will ask you if you have a driver’s license and that’s pretty much it.
The thing is that it’s actually easier to rent from Sun and Speed than it is from Avis or Hertz or any of those other rental companies. They have a well-trained, friendly team. They are true professionals. The return process is a breeze.
Now, there is something you need to know. This is extremely important. If you want to rent either the Lamborghini or the McLaren, you must fill out the form right now. Availability is extremely limited because of the high demand for these cars.
Life & Style: I can imagine. I am filling out the form as we speak. Do you have any other tips that our readers may want to know about?
I would rent both the Lamborghini and the McLaren if possible. When they contact you, ask to rent both of them. While they’re both exotic cars, they’re completely different driving experiences that you’ll never forget.
I must confess that I’ve always been a Lamborghini enthusiast. My eyes were opened after driving the McLaren and I am going to seek out more McLarens in the future because the drive was that good.
